On March 27th over 45 friends, faculty, and staff of Rock Valley College met at Giovanni’s. Canvasses were draped in neat rows of five on each side of the softly lit meeting room, and at the front of the room was a leader. She ran the artistic creative painting program and directed at different intervals of adjustments to make each person’s painting unique.
There were moments where painters would stop and talk to others near them or across the room to get see if any advice could be given to make their own project pop more. A lot of chuckles and freely moving paint-stained hands were filling the room.
Professor Kieper’s business class at RVC helped put on the event. Trying to get a taste of what it’s like to put on an event successfully. With a lot of satisfied painters and a silent auction, their goal of two-half scholarships to the award was achieved.
Here are some other photos captured at the event.
